Springfield Financial Services are proud to hold the prestigious corporate Chartered Financial Planners designation by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
The Chartered title is an internationally-recognised professional designation; effectively the industry’s ‘gold standard’ for firms of independent financial advisers.
We are one of only a very small proportion of IFA firms in the UK to demonstrate the dedication and commitment required to qualify for Chartered status.
It signifies that we have satisfied rigorous qualification criteria and indicates the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, up-to-date technical expertise and the proficiency of fully-qualified professionals who subscribe to the membership conditions of the CII.
It involves a commitment to the continuing professional development of all our staff and adherence to an industry standard Code of Ethics which can be viewed at www.cii.co.uk/code.
Dealing with a Chartered firm means you are dealing with proven professionals. The CII is empowered by the Privy Council to award Chartered status, and the award is only made in deserving cases. And while Chartered titles are steeped in history, they remain the benchmark of professional excellence and integrity.
Q – Is there anything more to Chartered status than simply using the title?
Definitely. Chartered status involves a number of serious obligations. Chartered titles are jealously guarded by professional bodies and are not awarded lightly. The title is not simply recognition for staff having passed examinations or paying an annual fee.
The Chartered title is a public declaration that advice given by a firm is:
- of the highest quality;
- based solely on the researched needs of the consumer;
- provided by someone not exceeding their level of competency.
It also signifies that a firm’s staff, where members of the CII, are governed by a Code of Ethics, and that disciplinary sanctions are applied to those who transgress. A Chartered title is therefore an overall commitment to excellence and professionalism.
